ABOUT ME

Professor John Rosenberg


Professor John Rosenberg has over 20 years of experience in senior management and leadership in educational institutions. He has held positions ranging from Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology at Monash University, the largest and most diverse faculty of its type in Australia at the time, to Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President (Academic) at Deakin University where he transformed the University’s approach to online education and led major improvements in the student experience and student satisfaction. Most recently he held the position of Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President Global Relations at La Trobe University. Professor Rosenberg has acted as Vice-Chancellor and President at both Deakin University and La Trobe University on numerous occasions.

Professor Rosenberg’s experience in 5 Australian universities coupled with his extensive international experience in Asia, the Middle East, the USA and Europe, and his commercial focus, enable him to add significant value to clients in the areas identified on the Services page. Deakin University

An analysis of the academic workload allocation models used within Deakin University, including a comparison and analysis of the various models. Provided advice on the feasibility of adopting a single model compared to the use of separate faculty models and recommendations in relation to workload models.

Ducere

Ducere is a company focussed on providing leading programs in business. It works with partners in Australia and elsewhere to deliver diplomas and degrees based on a library of talks and lectures by world leaders. I assisted Ducere with building relationships with both TAFE colleges and higher education partners.

La Trobe University

Undertook a study in relation to issues of student respect and action. Provided a series of recommendations to improve the way in which students interact with each other.

RMIT University Vietnam

RMIT University will be reviewed by TEQSA in 2016 as part of the rolling cycle of regular reviews. TEQSA has indicated that they will also visit the Vietnam campus. I undertook a series of mock interviews with staff and student at RMIT Vietnam to provide practice and to identify any areas for improvement.

TEQSA

TEQSA is responsible for accrediting and re-accrediting all higher education institutions in Australia. I provided expert advice in relation to an institution with which TEQSA had concerns in relation to re-accreditation.

Victoria University, College of Education

The College of Education at Victoria University recently appointed a new Interim Dean. At the request of the Interim Dean I undertook a review of all international activities within the College, including offshore programs, study tours and student recruitment, and made a series of recommendations for improvement.

Western Sydney University

An investigation of the student load model used at the University of Western Sydney, including the related systems and processes and reports generated. Provided advice and recommendations for improvements.
